P: Let the sound of praise ring out!
Prayer of Adoration
Lord, in You we live and move and have our being. We are Your children and You are not far from any of us. You are the God who creates, redeems and sustains. Help us to choose life in You, that we might follow the ways of Christ and listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and bear witness to the Good News of Your love and mercy. Amen.

Prayer of Illumination
Scripture Reading John 14: 18-21
“I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”

What We Believe (Adapted From: I Corinthians 15: 1-11)
This is the good news which we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved, if we hold it fast: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day, and that He appeared first to the women, then to Peter, and to the Twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus is the first and the last, the beginning and the end, He is our Lord and our God.
Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer
Gloria Patri

God Speaks Through the Word Scripture Reading John 20: 19-20 When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

Reflection “Who Is This Man?”
God Waits for Our Response
What We Believe (From: Philippians 2: 5-11)
We believe in Christ Jesus, though He was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death- even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above all names, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Reflection- “Who Is This Man?” Palm Sunday 2020
Cloaks & Palm Branches
Who is this man? His name is Jesus- the One they cheered as king. But the Messiah’s kingdom is not about wealth and power. It’s about the peace of God.
Tree
Who is this man? His name is Jesus- who brought Zacchaeus down from a tree and joined him for a meal. He’s the One who reached out to others, even the lepers, prostitutes and tax collectors.
Bible
Who is this man? His name is Jesus- He was a Rabbi, teaching everyone who would listen about God’s way of living. He’s the One who called for our true worship of God.
Oil
Who is this man? His name is Jesus- He’s the Healer, offering wholeness to those in need; the one who anoints us with mercy and offers us forgiveness and grace.
Wind chime
Who is this man? His name is Jesus- the One who did wonders and miracles, raising the dead to life; He is the One who brings new life to the world and by whose Spirit we are renewed day by day.
Who is this man?
His name is Jesus-and the amazing thing we are going to see in Holy Week- between this Sunday and the next is that Jesus is more than all of these descriptions. He is more than a prophet which the people in the crowds that long ago day called Him. He is the very Son of God and He came to do for us that which we cannot do for ourselves.
