First Friday FUN!

Our church participated in Adrian’s First Friday event on August 1st. PICKLES were the theme!
The city set up pickleball courts in the streets. Local vendors created cocktails, food items, and gifts that were themed around pickles for the community to purchase.

Our church had a FREE FUN station! Sno-cones were the crowd favorite (after all, it was hot & sunny) - we had a secret menu item (Dill pickle juice flavored sno-cones with pickle flavored spoons). We had so much fun with pickle themed tattoos and face painting. We had adorable pickle school themed coloring pages as well. We tried to do a few easy activities for free that kiddos would love. The kids smiles and laughs while they dug through tattoos and enjoyed sno-cones was the best!

Our Jr. Servants & friends filled 76 backpacks with supplies & snacks to hand out!
We are so grateful to our members and committees that donated to this project to provide these to our community. Our mission work is important to our youth, and for them to want to do this, was a blessing to support. Thankful to those who took a moment to pray over the backpacks, the youth in our community, and the teachers and staff who will be working with and guiding our kiddos.
